Oxford (25 miles, direct train service)

The city of dreaming spires and one of the great university cites of the world. Walk along the banks of the Thames or in the college gardens, see Christ Church where Harry Potter was filmed and Alice in Wonderland written, shop in the historic market or dine at one of the great restaurants. In William Shakespeare’s hometown you can visit sites associated with the great playwright, including his grave in Holy Trinity Church, one of the most beautiful churches in England.
